Non-Fiction Addiction - Ancient Greeks Sticker Book

My children are fascinated with Ancient Greece. They relish finding out about the Gods and Goddesses, mythical creatures, city states, wars, leaders and the wealth of discoveries made by this amazing ancient culture. They have read a number of books, created some beautiful pieces of work based on the Greeks and will continue to do so this coming academic year as there is so much to learn about the Greek civilisation.

Usborne publishing realised that we were in need of something a bit different to help with our historical studies and kindly sent us a copy of the 'Ancient Greeks Sticker Book ' by Fiona Watt and Paul Nicolls. I particularly like the fact that it has been written in consultation with Dr. Anne Millard who is a historical expert, because I know that the information the book contains is accurate. The book introduces children to various parts of the Ancient Greek culture from the bustling market place to going to war. Each scene has a clearly written description and a selection of amusing and high quality stickers for the child to bring it to life with.

Both of my boys enjoyed this book despite the age gap as it appeals to both very young children and also older children. They enjoyed reading about the Greeks and chatting to each other as they used the stickers to create busy scenes.

The Usborne 'Ancient Greek Sticker Book' is an excellent addition to our Greek resources. Stickers are always a great activity and what could be better than stickers with educational benefits as well?

We recommend this as an interesting and entertaining activity for children of all ages.

This title is available to purchase from Usborne.
