Homeschool Adventures - Saturday Snippets

I'm linking up with Jax Blunt from 'Live Otherwise' this week for her lovley Saturday Snipets Linky.

Watching : 'Starwars- Return of the Jedi'. I am destined to spend my life watching these films over and over and over again. Grown-up telly has been 'Dexter' which makes me feel a little melancholic if I'm honest but it goes well with red wine.

Reading: Various WW2 books. One of the great things about home-ed is that I get to learn as well. The boys have been reading similarly themed books.

Cleaning: Down the side of Tristan's bed to discover a selection of objects squirrelled away - a packet of raisins, a shoe, a plastic spoon, a lid off a bottle of milk, three pounds and twenty two pence, four pencils and a screwed up piece of paper. I think he has 'hoarding' tendencies.

Shopping: For WW2 recipe ingredients. We are on rations this month in order to truly embrace the wartime learning adventure we are on. Lots of flour, fruit and veg and not a lot of fat, meat or sugar.

Cooking: Vast quantities of stew, scones, honey cakes and scrambled eggs (not with dried egg though so a bit of a cheat).

Wearing: Skirts and blouses  to be as 'wartime' as possible. The boys have been in shirts and shorts as well.

Feeling: A bit on the edge since swapping to more tea less sugar if I'm honest. Otherwise pretty good although a Saturday morning toast making session resulted in a deeply sliced finger, steri-strips and crying. Accidents will happen.
